Colnago created the ThreadFit82.5, aka ThreadFit, to make their oversized bottom brackets more durable. The T4530 bb threads into those 45mm diameter, 82.5mm wide shells and allows you to install 30mm diameter spindle cranks into your Colnago.

The cups have CeramicSpeed bearings pressed in, and then are threaded into the bb. There are two bearing options. The Standard Bearing has CeramicSpeed Balls and hardened-steel races. The Coated Bearing has the same balls running on a 3-micron thick coating placed on top of those hardened-steel races, which makes them faster and more durable.

Technical Data

This kit adapts your Colnago to work with 30mm spindle cranks with the 386EVO standard and from Rotor. T45 was designed by Colnago to provide the design benefits of oversized bb shells and the repair benefits of threaded bb??ôJ.

The frictional from our Standard Bearings is 0.3-.04 watts. That??ôJ a reduction of 75% compared to stock bottom brackets. This is the result of hardened-steel races combined with ceramic balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. They also last longer. Coated Bearings go even longer and feature even less drag. Life increases by 60% and drag drops by 50% compared to our Standard.

All Round Grease comes applied to the bearings. It can be replaced for lower drag TT and Track Grease, or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in when riding through messy conditions.
